Beyond Ourselves: Adventures with God Around the World
This is the story of how God used some dedicated servants to send the gospel message around the world. It starts with one family -- Ziden and Helen Nutt -- and soon expands to include scores of faithful workers from all parts of the globe.
The book recounts the Nutts' missionary service in Africa starting in the 1960s. It explains how they came to return to the States, and later launched an even-broader ministry through Good News Productions, International. Included is a summary of the history of missions on the continent of Africa. Beyond Ourselves is a story of teamwork with others who are equally committed to present simple new Testament Christianity to everyone.
Touching personal stories and previously unreported experiences introduce the reader to a cast of characters from around the world, representing "every tribe, toungure, and people." Ziden Nutt provides a firsthand look at one of the most influential and effective mission works of the last 100 years.
Good News Productions, International is a unique mission. It has always been ahead of its time. Forty years ago GNPI pioneered using new technology to take the gospel message, being careful that every production was appropriate with the language and culture of the intended audience. Little wonder that this ministry remains on the cutting-edge of world evangelism even now in the 21st century!
