Prophecy is a very popular subject with many people, and there are many commentaries on the book of Revelation. There is a natural desire to know what the future holds. Revelation caters to that desire in a powerful way. Many people are drawn to its symbolic language, and yet feel confused and overwhelmed after a few pages into the book. Yet, as by some strange fascination, they come back to its symbols again and again. Some never do understand the book, and avoid it. Others keep at it until the light breaks through.
