The Power of Jesus

This fresh and creative series examines the life of Christ in four, thirteen-week studies. Designed for a personal or a small group study, Mark Moore and Jon Weece have written an engaging and thought-provoking study that will transform you by looking at the Person, Power, Preaching, and Passion of Jesus and what he desires you to become.

A popular word for the past decade or more, "power" seems to be used to describe everything: power lunches, herbal supplements that give us more brain power, tools that provide the craftsman with more power, and even power naps. We've heard the saying, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" and seen the devastation wreaked by those who have sought this type of power. Then to confuse matters even more, we've heard performers sing about the power of love and self help shows proclaim the power of positive thinking. With this excessive use of the word power, how indeed should we describe or define it?

Moore and Weece, in this second volume of the four-volume series, have set out to describe One who possessed and demonstrated power like most of use have never witnessed. In the life of Jesus Christ, we see the very power of the Living God unleashed on earth in the form of healing, exorcisms, and resurrections. But we see that he not only wielded power over diseases and demons, he possessed the power to transform the state of the human heart.

Mark Moore and Jon Weece have created a study with windows into the life of Christ so that we may see and be changed by who he really is and what he has to do with us.

This four-part, fifty-two week study is based on the Chronological Life of Christ by Mark Moore.

The series examines:

  • The Person of Jesus
