"Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another- ...training us to live God's way."

2 Tim. 3:16, The Message

Are you looking for a resource for the average person that explains where the Bible comes from, how it's organized, and exactly what it contains?  A guide to the Bible that doesn't assume the reader already knows Biblical terms and events?  A Newcomer's Guide to the Bible is the resource you've been searching for.

In a straightforward and panoramic style, Mike Armour helps us gain an overall perspective to the Bible --
understanding its flow and how it all fits together. His goal is to give us an overview of the Bible -- a good look at the forest instead of an in-depth investigation of each individual tree.

Jesus said, " Blessed are those who hear the Word of God and obey it" (Luke 11:28). It is vital that every follower of Christ not only read the Bible but study it in order to understand it and live it. As popular author Max Lucado has written, "The Bible is not a newspaper to be skimmed but rather a mine to be quarried." This helpful overview of the Bible will lay a foundation for a lifetime of personal Bible study and application.

Given the fact that The Newcomer's Guide to the Bible is approaching 500,000 copies in print in a dozen languages, there's a definite probability that this simple, yet compelling resource will be an immense blessing to thousands of readers for years to come.

Now with a workbook to test learning and use in group studies or new member classes, this is a valuable purchase for individuals and churches alike.

Newcomer's Guide to the Bible has 19 chapters and 247 pages.
